Points to note when purchasing products

Shipping charges

The prices displayed for products in our shop include shipping costs.
However, please note that in the event of a return at the customer's request, the customer will be responsible for all shipping charges.

Shipping Method

The shipping method is determined by our store and usually cannot be chosen by the customer. Additionally, for large furniture, international shipping will be done using wooden crate packaging.

About delivery days

Due to international shipping from Japan, please allow approximately 10 to 15 business days from the time you place your order for your product to arrive. In cases of natural disasters or international circumstances, delivery may take up to a month. Should this occur, we will keep you informed of the estimated delivery time.
For large furniture, please allow approximately one month for delivery. In cases of natural disasters or international circumstances, it may take up to three months. Should this occur, we will keep you informed of the estimated delivery time.
Built-to-order items take approximately three months.

Damage during shipping, etc.

When preparing for shipment, we take great care to ensure that the outer box is not dented or scratched. However, since this is an international shipment, there is a possibility of problems arising in transit or damage caused by the shipping company after the package is handed over. We apologize for any dents or scratches on the outer box that do not affect the use of the product itself.

Regarding the dating of old furniture

Old furniture is collected from those remaining in Japan, repaired, etc., and put on display. Most items are acquired from private homes, so the exact year of production is often unknown. The age shown is an estimate based on the furniture's design, materials, place of origin and condition, and in some cases, inscriptions found on the furniture. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

About the condition of old furniture

Most old furniture items are over 100 years old and may have some scratches or dents. While any clearly unusable parts, such as those with corrosion or missing hardware, are repaired by skilled craftsmen, other areas are left as intact as possible to preserve the original character of the piece. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.

About import duties

Since the products are shipped from Japan, import duties may be incurred upon receipt (though this may not always be the case). The amount of import duties can vary depending on the circumstances, but generally, the obligation to pay taxes falls on the "importer of record." Please be aware of this.
We will provide an approximate estimate of the import duty charges.
