Qusoku Zeshiki(空即是色)

"空即是色(空Qu 即soku 是ze 色Shiki)" is one of the fundamental concepts in Buddhism.
When translated directly, it means "Qu is the Shiki".

"空Qu" is the highest concept of all things that exist in this world.

The Concept ultimately distills into two states: existence and non-existence. The integration of these two states forms the concept of "空Qu".
"色Shiki" refers to all phenomena in the universe, including events in this world and all things that exist.
Shakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism, states, "色Shiki 即soku 是ze 空Qu(Shiki is the Qu)". "Everything in this world is Qu (So there is no substance)".
And, "空Qu 即soku 是ze 色shiki(Qu is the Shiki)". "The fact that there is no inherent substance is itself the essence of all phenomena".

The art collective "空Qu 即soku 是ze 色shiki" creates their works by weaving tangible forms (色Shiki) from the chaotic soup reminiscent of the primordial universe known as "空Qu".

Traditional crafts: Takaoka Copperware

Nakamura Factory(中村製作所)

Takaoka copperware, designated as a traditional craft of Japan, refers to the copperware produced in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture. Takaoka is a major producer of bronze art objects in modern Japan, and is famous for its wide variety of techniques, from large products such as Buddhist bells and bronze statues to smaller items such as indoor ornaments and Buddhist and Shinto ritual objects.

"Nakamura Factory" stands out even among the manufacturers in Takaoka. While preserving traditional styles exemplified by works such as "GARYU," they never cease to research the latest technologies. They continue to create pieces like "ifuki" and "giga," which blend seamlessly with contemporary lifestyles and add a touch of color to daily life.
